This was our thrust stage project for the semester.

Playboy of the Western World by John Millington Synge

This was our proscenium stage project for the semester. I thought storytelling was a central theme of the play so I designed the set on a turntable so that it feels like a story book opening.

This was the first of the two song projects we did. The idea was that we find a song and design a set on a thrust stage. Because this was one of the early projects and there wasn't a solid story to follow it was supposed to be pretty abstract. It was also supposed to stay in black and white and we were meant to provide evocative research to explain what we were thinking.
